Mission Statement
To reach out into the community with love and concern to meet the needs of seniors throughout Jackson County in accordance with all state and federal governing bodies.
Nutrition
Jackson County Commission on Aging offers meals for anyone 60 years of age and older at our Senior Centers. Meals are generally served at 11:30am. Please call your senior center the day before to order a meal.
Transportation
Jackson County Commission on Aging offers transportation to and from the senior centers and medical transports to Charleston, Parkersburg, Spencer, and Point Pleasant. Vans book up quickly and are scheduled out a month to two months in advance for medical transports.
We ask for doctor appointments to be made before noon to insure the drivers will be back to the office by 2:00pm, transportation is only available on Monday and Friday.
Jackson County Commission on Aging also offers transportation to grocery stores, shopping and pharmacies within the county.
Fees for transportation are on a donation basis.
